FAQs

Have a question, check our frequently asked questions below to find an answer.

What does a Podiatrist do?

We have expertise not just in the foot, but also the lower limb. Here for all your lower limb and foot diagnosis, injuries, pain, queries and management.

What do I bring to my appointment?

Footwear is important and can be helpful to answer your problems and questions. Orthotics, innersoles, runners, work shoes, boots, sandals, etc are crucial when attending for gait assessment. It is also helpful to remove nail polish if attending for nail queries.

Can I come just for my nails to be cut?

Absolutely! Many of our patients attend for regular routine maintenance.

Do I need a referral?

No referral is required. Unless you and your GP have organised an EPC care plan referral (medicare rebate), please bring this referral along. Workcover, TAC and DVA patients do require a referral for their first visit, if you are wanting to be reimbursed appropriately.

Can I claim Podiatry on my health fund?

Yes, if your level of cover includes Podiatry. If you are unsure, you can call your fund prior to the appointment or attempt to claim any instant rebate on the day. We are proud to support Bupa in being members first providers, along with being Medibank choice providers.

I have a sore nail, will I need surgery?

For painful and ingrown toenails we will always try conservative methods of management. Nail surgery is common, although often a last option after failure of other treatment modalities.
